About the role

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician plays a crucial role in providing therapeutic services to individuals and families in need. This position requires a deep understanding of behavioral health principles and the ability to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for assigned clients
  • Provide individual and family therapy and other support services
  • Assist the treatment team in evaluating clinical services
  • Implement, coordinate, monitor, document, and evaluate measurable treatment goals
  • Maintain required productivity
  • Participate in clinical staffing for clients
  • Interact professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and other stakeholders with professionalism and high levels of interpersonal and customer service skills

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required, preferably in social work, psychology, counseling, or an applicable discipline
  • LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of social work or counseling experience, with preference given to experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental, and/or emotional disabilities
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and a driving record meeting Damar’s insurance carrier’s eligibility requirements (for positions requiring driving)
  • Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental and/or emotional disabilities is desired

  • Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
