Facility: Northside Behavioral Health
Location: Tampa, FL
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Obtains and updates patient information
  • Schedules patient appointments and assists with patient inquiries; may arrange for additional services
  • Collects and posts payments, and assists with patient billing questions
  • Ensures completion of all encounter documentation prior to check out
  • Accepts transfers from other facilities according to established guidelines
  • Schedules patients with appropriate provider, answers phones and responds within time frames defined by departmental guidelines
  • Obtains complete and accurate patient registration information according to department standards
  • Reviews and confirms all registration information is accurate at each appointment and makes any required updates
  • Consistently reviews cancellation, displaced patients, and appointment requests worklist throughout the day
  • Reviews daily schedules for availability and coordinates with onsite supervisor to ensure providers' schedules are at capacity
  • Greets, registers and checks in patients

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of office-related experience
  • Customer service, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Organization, administrative, and clerical skills

This position requires Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, managed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
