Job Responsibilities
- Serves as part of the interdisciplinary team (CST) to best help service users, including behavioral health specialists, registered nurses, quality assurance specialists, paraprofessionals and the Clinical Director.
- Running individual, family therapy sessions.
- Developing person-centered plans with individuals.
- Completing comprehensive clinical assessments.
- Overseeing the discharge planning process.
- Facilitating relationships between RHA, service user families/legal guardians and various social service community resources, such as food stamp and housing assistance, healthcare, job training and placement and substance abuse support groups.
- Excellent communicator and listener with strong therapeutic skills who works well as part of an interdisciplinary team and runs open and productive therapy sessions.
- Excel at behavioral interviewing techniques to uncover service user needs and be able to anticipate these needs.
- Assessing substance use needs and developing relapse preventions.
- Linkage and referral to treatment to include detox and long term residential treatment.
- Knowledge of community resources that may impact social determinants of health.
- Travel amongst several counties to provide home visits and coordination of care to ensure social determinant of health needs are met.
- On call rotation required- currently every 8-12 weeks depending on staffing patterns.
Job Requirements
- Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in the state of North Carolina.
- Licenses include: LCAS, LCAS-A, CADC in North Carolina.
- Clinical supervision is provided.
- Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with mental and/or behavioral health issues.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $55,000-$65,000 depending on experience and licensure.
Phone stipend or use of company phone.
Location
Caldwell and Burke Counties.

- Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
- Drug testing.
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required).
- Positions that require driving: Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
