Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Director is responsible for the development, implementation, clinical and/or administrative supervision, and monitoring of a Behavioral Health delivery system meeting NCCHC/ACA standards. The Behavioral Health Director works with the Regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist to coordinate total contract services.

Essential Functions

• Acts as point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment programs and problem resolution as needed.
• Captains the coordination of development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for inmates.
• Serves as the supervisor for the planning, development, and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
• Supervises the clinical and/or administrative oversight of staff of Behavioral Health Services.
• Maintains the monitoring of efforts of Behavioral Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner.
• Assigns clinical on-call duties.
• Ensures treatment programs contracted are integrated and appropriately staffed.
• Supports the administrative needs of psychiatric staff.
• Coordinates the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
• Attends training and meetings as required.

Required Education, Certifications, Registrations and Experience

• Fully licensed in the state of Kansas with any of the following licenses: LPC-MHSP, LCSW, PhD, PsyD, or LSPE.
• Satisfactory background investigation report.

Compensation details: $90,000 - $93,600 yearly salary.
