Behavioral Health Counselor IV - SPARC Saraotga

Full-time, day shift position at SPARC in Saratoga, an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled, client-centered professional with 2–3 years of experience in addiction or behavioral health to join our interdisciplinary team. SPARC (St. Peter's Addiction Recovery Center) provides comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services for individuals and families affected by drug or alcohol abuse, delivered with respect and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide addiction treatment through assessment, planning, and implementation of approved patient-care plans via individual and group sessions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Work with individuals, groups, and communities to improve mental health.
• Conduct intakes, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a related field with CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) certification required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree with licensure/certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in addiction or behavioral health, including planning and leading group therapy, individual treatment sessions, and family sessions.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of community agencies and managed care representatives is desired.
• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of multicultural issues is preferred.

Pay

$23.90 – $32.85 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary by location.
