About the role
Provides comprehensive behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning to patients and families, supporting them and the healthcare team in managing emotional, mental, and substance abuse disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conducts behavioral health assessments to identify patient issues
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with appropriate interventions
- Provides crisis intervention, individual, group, family, and grief therapy
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering a professional counseling perspective
- Documents assessments, treatment plans, and interventions according to standards
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master's Degree in counseling or similar field required
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required
- Experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy preferred
- Experience working with behavioral health clients in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and education preferred
