Behavioral Health Counselor - Full Time, Day Shift

About the role

Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning to patients and families, supporting them and the healthcare team in managing emotional, mental, and substance abuse disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive behavioral health assessments to identify patient issues and inform treatment plans.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans utilizing appropriate interventions.
• Delivers crisis intervention, individual, family, marital, and group therapy, including grief support.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams, offering professional counseling perspectives.
• Documents assessments, treatment plans, and interventions in accordance with organizational standards.
• Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; Master’s Degree in counseling or similar field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
• Preferred experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and working with behavioral health clients.
• Ability to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and education to patients and families.
