Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family.
- Counsels clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families.
- Makes sure to monitor client progress and coordinate appropriate behavioral health and other needed services including, but not limited to, community coordination, outreach and referrals.
- Ensures full compliance of clients on caseload have up-to-date/current CAFAS/PECFAS on an ongoing basis.
- Maintains an electronic and paper chart which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and client rights documents.
- Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting families in reaching their goals.
- Supports and assists consumers with trauma related issues.
- Assesses, reviews all requests for services and authorizes medically necessary services for all consumers.
- Only implements therapeutic modalities approved by Easterseals MORC Michigan.
- Ensures that all individuals served caseload have CAFAS/PECFAS completed initially, quarterly, annually and upon discharge.
