Position Summary

An exciting opportunity for a behavioral health clinician to be part of a bariatric surgery and medical weight loss program, part of Maine Medical Center, located in South Portland, Maine. The Weight & Wellness program is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team including Nutritionists, Surgeons, Medical Assistants, MDs, Bariatricians, and behavioral health providers. This team works collaboratively to treat both adults and kids who are in their journey to create a healthier self. The behavioral health clinician is part of this fast paced, high-volume practice, bringing in their expertise to optimize outcomes for patients.

The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Providing assessments and focused treatment to patients of the practice
  • Developing treatment plans
  • Providing direct care through individual and group therapy sessions to address any concerns that may have been identified during the assessment
  • Working with both adults and kids, and families

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
  • Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
  • At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician
  • Must be comfortable working with both adults and kids, and families

Schedule

40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, Day shift

Pay

$71,448.00 to $96,636.80 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
