Behavioral Health Clinician

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and management of children and adolescents by developing and implementing treatment and intervention plans and conducting needs assessment to gather patient information.
• Provides crisis intervention to families and provides interventions with families to support discharge to home and stabilization.
• Develops a therapeutic relationship with patients and families to assist with psychological problems.
• Completes diagnostic behavioral health assessments for treatment or crisis intervention.
• Compiles and analyzes data and prepares case records, reports, and documents that comply with state and federal standards in providing case notes, treatment plans, and evaluations.
• Collaborates with other disciplines or departments on patient care and unit safety and serves as a liaison with multi-disciplinary care teams and external community agencies to identify, implement, and monitor treatment goals.
• Presents case presentations and provides consultation to medical teams and callers.
• Captions admissions to programs within the Pediatric Mental Health Institute or community programs and coordinates treatment with internal and external services.
• Leads, monitors, evaluates, and collaborates educational and therapeutic groups for patients; participates in clinical rounds and maintains communication with unit or department leadership.
• Attends educational in-services for Behavioral Health Clinicians.
• Participates in unit committees and educational offerings; complies with all policies and procedures related to the Pediatric Mental Health Institute and the hospital; and provides customer service as related to the Mental Health field.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology, social work, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in a mental health setting/agency.
• Variety of licenses acceptable from the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
• BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment.
• 36 hours per week Full-Time schedule; Overnights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM); weekdays and weekends; 3 x 12-hour shifts per week.

• Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $73,171.39 to $109,757.08

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Schedule

36hrs FT Overnights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM); weekdays and weekends; 3 x 12-hour shifts per week.
