Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health of New England, is looking for a Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor to join our Behavioral Health Team.

About the role

The Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor oversees the clinical Behavioral Health operations provided in the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital. Responsibilities include ensuring clinical quality and compliance of crisis assessments, biopsychosocial assessments, behavioral interventions, and post-discharge coordination of care. The supervisor also oversees admissions to Behavioral Health inpatient units and the prompt processing of referrals from outside facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the staffing schedule for the Behavioral Health team and employee files.
  • Supervises staff of the behavioral health team, including collaboration with HR on hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversees the assessment and care coordination of patients in need of Behavioral Health services in the Emergency Department.
  • Supervises the flow of assessments and discharges of patients participating in behavioral assessments and interventions.
  • Serves as a lead for social work staff in inpatient units.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work required.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State of CT required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in providing direct client/patient care in mental health/substance abuse field; preferred supervisory experience in this area.
  • Experience working with "crisis assessments" in the community and hospitals.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Must be available for a rotating schedule to receive after-hours calls for Behavioral Health staff in the ED.
