Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years’ experience in a clinical/physician office setting.
- Interpersonal skills including good communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of comprehensive health programs, standards, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer phones, check patients in and out, and schedule appointments.
- Review patient registration data to update and correct patient information ensuring all information is correct.
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate referrals to and from facility.
- Ensure Clinic and outside facilities receive test results, reports, notes, and documentation of care.
- Monitor and evaluate services, regularly contacting patients to track progress and identify new needs.
- Secure pre-authorizations of outside care, as required by 3rd party insurers.
- Act as a liaison between patients, their families, providers, and other staff for continuity of care.
- Cookordinate services across multiple agencies, building strong working relationships.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for in-person and telephone interactions.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
- Observe strict confidentiality in all matters, responsibilities and duties performed under this position and adhere to the HIPAA (Privacy Act) in regards to patients’ medical information.
