Behavioral Health (BH) Counselor

Position Summary

As a member of our Behavioral Health team, you'll provide comprehensive outpatient counseling services while partnering with medical providers and community resources to improve the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments
  • Diagnosing and treating mental and emotional health conditions
  • Providing individual counseling and psychotherapy
  • Developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans
  • Tracking client progress and adjusting care as needed
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Managing an assigned caseload
  • Collaborating with medical providers and fellow behavioral health professionals
  • Connecting patients with community resources and specialty services when appropriate

Requirements

  • Hold one of the following Ohio licenses or be actively working toward advanced licensure:
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • LISW-S
  • LPCC-S
  • LSW/MSW working toward LISW
  • LPC working toward LPCC

Qualifications

We welcome applicants who hold one of the above licenses or are actively working toward advanced licensure. We also value candidates who possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.

  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities
