About the role
The Behavioral Health Assistant, under the supervision of professional nursing personnel, assists and provides patient care utilizing standards of care. The position involves assisting with patient care, de-escalating crisis situations, maintaining the milieu with a calm and professional approach, providing redirection, utilizing de-escalation techniques, and conducting group activities with patients.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to de-escalate crisis situations
- Culturally-sensitive, compassionate, and non-judgmental interaction with culturally-diverse families and communities
- Maintains the milieu with a calm and professional approach
- Works well under pressure and demonstrates a pleasant and professional demeanor
- Previous Behavioral Health experience OR enrolled in an associates or bachelors program
