About the role
Damar is a leading provider of behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) services. We are seeking Intensive Autism Technicians for full-time opportunities at our main residential setting in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to children diagnosed with Autism, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Participate in Behavior Skills Training and assist during Practical Functional Assessments.
- Perform a variety of duties, such as natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive autism intervention.
- Provide direct support to individuals diagnosed with Autism who reside at Damar.
- Assist the treatment team in evaluating clinical services.
- Operate Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties.
- Complete incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client.
- Serve as a member of Damar Services' interdisciplinary team.
- Prioritize duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.
- Show initiative by identifying solutions to improve stakeholder satisfaction.
- Act as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with children with neurodivergence is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification.
- Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification.
- Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
Qualifications
- Passes and maintains Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification.
- Passes and maintains CPR Certification.

Skills
- Confidence in decision-making in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment.
- Timely completion and updating of mandatory training and other licensure related items.
- Attendance at mandatory staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Attendance at meetings, conferences, and workshops as recommended by the Intensive Autism leadership team.

Pay
- Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- 3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am w/ rotating weekends).
- Weekend (7:00 am - 11:00 pm / Sat & Sun).
- Optional 8-hour shifts available Monday-Friday.
