Behavioral Support Specialist

Job Duties

• Performs a functional assessment and develops strategies to support a participant accordingly.
• This could include: social emotional plans, functional behavioral analyses, behavior plans, restrictive procedures, and associated documentation necessary for tracking plan implementation.
• Provides on-site training to participants, staff, parents and caregivers and monitors participant success.
• Develops effective behavior support plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participant progress.

  Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services or a closely related field.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Current driver’s license and valid auto insurance.
  • Preferred: Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and experience working with adults with an intellectual disability ABA Certification Trama-informed care, such as Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • PA Behavior Specialist Licensure
