Behavior Therapist (BT)

About the role

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Behavior Therapist to work out of one of our Approved Private Special Education Programs (ALL Academy) in Trumbull, CT. The position involves supporting children who have been outplaced due to social, behavioral, and/or academic needs.

Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of Special Education Teachers and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts to implement each student’s educational and behavioral programs.
• Collaborate with service providers such as School Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists, and Occupational/Physical Therapists.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with children with disabilities.
• Experience in ABA preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.

Skills

• Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
• Ability to develop and implement individualized behavior plans.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

$36,000-$46,000 per year
