Behavior Therapist

About the role

River Academy of Excellence is a private academic school serving students in grades K-8. We are seeking a full-time Behavior Therapist to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily behavioral therapy services to students identified as requiring services
• Complete daily documentation
• Maintain communication with families and staff for the betterment of each student
• Regular meetings with administration staff to discuss caseloads, answer questions, and promote overall employment success
• Promote a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment for students and families

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Behavior Therapist, RBT credential
• Paraprofessional with experience working in a school setting
• Licensed or certified in Behavior in Pennsylvania
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviors
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional and positive work ethic
• Passion for the field of school-based behavioral therapy services
