About the role

MAC Midwest is a nonprofit provider of coordinated neurodevelopmental care and a recognized leader in the field, with 30 years of experience serving individuals with autism and related conditions and their families across Minnesota. Through a comprehensive, transdisciplinary model, we provide diagnostic assessments, compassionate ABA therapy, mental health services, speech and occupational therapy, and family training. Our teams use clinical expertise and careful evaluation to develop individualized plans that support communication, independence, and long-term progress. Schedule

• Full time: Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 4:45 pm (no nights or weekends)
• Part time options: Monday–Friday, 8:15 am–12:00 pm or 12:30 pm–4:45 pm

Pay

Compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, determined by experience, geographic location, and EIDBI level.

Minimum requirements

• Desire and passion for providing mental health services
• Ability to work in a group setting or 1:1 with client(s)
• Ability to maintain a level of professionalism with clients and their families
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification (applies to individuals entering at Level 3)
• Ability to pass a DHS background check
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience with ASD and ABA therapy
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to clients with mental illness (e.g., bachelor’s in Behavioral Science + 1 year of full-time experience)
• Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to clients with mental illness (e.g., 2 years of full-time experience)
• Is a graduate student in one of the mental health professional disciplines and is formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training
• Holds a master’s or other graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university

Physical requirements

• Frequent kneeling, bending, and stooping (when toileting)
• Ability to respond quickly—get up from floor/run/walk fast (for elopements)
• Physically engaged for 7+ hours per day in a fast-paced, on-the-go environment
• Strength required to implement physical holds when safety of the client or staff is at risk
• Shuffling feet (related to safety care)
• Standing/on your feet for several consecutive hours many days
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
