Behavior Therapist

About the role

MAC Midwest is a nonprofit provider of coordinated neurodevelopmental care with 30 years of experience serving individuals with autism and related conditions and their families across Minnesota. We offer a comprehensive, transdisciplinary model including diagnostic assessments, ABA therapy, mental health services, speech and occupational therapy, and family training.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services in a group setting or 1:1 with clients
• Maintain a level of professionalism with clients and their families
• Respond quickly and get up from floor/run/walk fast (for elopements)
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Pass a DHS Background check
• Obtain RBT certification (if not already obtained)

Requirements

• Desire & passion for providing mental health services
• Ability to work in a group setting or 1:1 with client(s)
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with ASD and ABA Therapy
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields
• 2,000+ hours of supervised experience in mental health services
• Master's degree in mental health professional disciplines

Pay

Compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour and is determined based on experience, geographic location, and EIDBI level.

Schedule

Full time opportunities available: 8:15 am to 4:45 pm Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends required!

Part time opportunities available: Monday-Friday, 8:15AM-12:00PM or 12:30PM-4:45PM
