Behavior Therapist
About the role
MAC Midwest is a nonprofit provider of coordinated neurodevelopmental care and a recognized leader in the field, with 30 years of experience serving individuals with autism and related conditions and their families across Minnesota. Through a comprehensive, transdisciplinary model, we provide diagnostic assessments, compassionate ABA therapy, mental health services, speech and occupational therapy, and family training. Our teams use clinical expertise and careful evaluation to develop individualized plans that support communication, independence, and long-term progress. Responsibilities
- Provide mental health services in a group setting or 1:1 with clients.
- Maintain a level of professionalism with clients and their families.
- Respond quickly to elopements and implement physical holds when safety is at risk.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to advance career opportunities.
Requirements
- Desire and passion for providing mental health services.
- Ability to work in a group setting or 1:1 with clients.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to obtain RBT certification.
- Pass a DHS Background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with ASD and ABA Therapy.
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field.
- At least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental health services.
- Graduate student in mental health professional discipline.
- Masters or other graduate degree in mental health professional discipline.

Pay
Compensation for this role ranges from $18 to $20 per hour and is determined based on factors such as experience, geographic location, and EIDBI level.
Schedule
Full time opportunities available: 8:15 am to 4:45 pm Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends required!
Part time opportunities available: Monday-Friday, 8:15AM-12:00PM or 12:30PM-4:45PM
