About the role

A dedicated Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) is needed to support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in their daily lives. The role involves implementing behavior plans, providing positive reinforcement, and assisting with social skills training.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior plans and interventions as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide positive reinforcement and praise to encourage desired behaviors
  • Assist in developing and maintaining social skills through structured activities
  • Document observations and progress in client files
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Specialist (BS)
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Experience with data collection and analysis
  • Passion for making a difference in people’s lives

Skills

  • Excellent observational and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
