Behavior Technician (RBT)
Advanceable ABA is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and experienced ABA Behavior Technicians to provide 1:1 in-home ABA therapy to children with autism in Glen Allen and surrounding areas, VA. Candidates with previous ABA or autism experience are strongly preferred.
Pay
$22–$26 per hour. Compensation is based on relevant experience, ABA experience, and RBT certification. Higher starting rates are available for experienced Registered Behavior Technicians.
Schedule
Part-time, primarily Monday through Friday with afternoon and after-school availability. Typical caseload is approximately 15–25+ hours per week, depending on client needs, location, and your availability. Candidates with consistent weekday afternoon and evening availability are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Implement individualized behavior treatment plans created by a BCBA
- Teach communication, social, play, daily-living, and behavioral skills
- Use reinforcement and other evidence-based ABA strategies
- Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
- Participate in BCBA supervision and clinical training
- Communicate professionally with families and members of the clinical team
- Provide services primarily in clients’ homes and community settings
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel to clients’ homes in the Glen Allen area
- Dependable attendance and professional communication
- Ability to remain active throughout sessions, including sitting on the floor, standing, bending, squatting, walking, and playing with children
Qualifications
Strongly Preferred:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Previous experience providing ABA therapy
- Previous experience working directly with children with autism / ASD
- Experience implementing behavior plans under BCBA supervision
Not Yet an RBT? We may consider candidates with strong, relevant experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs. For qualified candidates who are a strong fit but are not yet certified, Advanceable ABA can provide training and support toward obtaining RBT certification.
