Poole School District is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician.

About the role

This position is located in Puyallup and is part of the Special Services department. The role involves providing support to students with special needs through behavior intervention and support services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans based on data and assessment results
  • Provide direct support to students to improve social skills and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of positive behavior supports
  • Document student progress and communicate with families and school staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • Passing score on a background check

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Schedule

The schedule is 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
