Principal Duties
- Work with students individually or in group settings
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for students with challenging behaviors
- Model and coach building level staff who work with the student
- Collaborate with the district SEBH Interventionist Specialist and building SEBH Interventionist to implement students' BIPs
- Collect and graph data and make progress notes for students with behavioral needs
- Collaborate on a team to determine effective strategies for students with Tier 3 plans
- May include working one-to-one with a student to complete assigned tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preparation, Experience, Skills
- Complete Safety Care training as a condition of employment
- Understand and accept the physical risks associated with working with students with behavioral issues
- Show flexibility in working with building staff
