About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques
- Provide support and encouragement to children and their families
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Adapt to the unpredictability and potential challenges of working with children
- Ensure safety and well-being of all individuals involved
Requirements
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- At least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and a tuberculosis test (if not done within the last year)
- Pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Pay
$17 - $20 per hour
Schedule
Hours vary based on client needs, but typically include evenings and weekends.
