Behavior Technician Childcare Experience Needed
About the role
Autism Learning Partners offers a fulfilling part-time opportunity for individuals who want to make a positive impact in the lives of children and teens with autism. The schedule is flexible, allowing for work primarily in clients' homes with occasional sessions at local centers.
Responsibilities
- Teach children new skills such as communication, sharing, or following directions through play-based activities.
- Encourage progress and celebrate small victories daily.
- Maintain physical activity during sessions.
- Track and document the progress made by each child.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to assist families in seeing real progress and hope.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED completed.
- At least 6 months of experience working with kids (paid or volunteer).
- A reliable car, valid driver's license, and insurance.
- Willingness to complete background and health checks.
- Pass a competency exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- A big heart, patience, and the ability to engage with energetic children.
Skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and environments.

Pay
$22-28.50 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour upon completion of RBT certification.
Schedule
Part-time, up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 pm to 8 pm, with some sessions held in local centers based on client needs.
