Behavior Technician Childcare Experience Needed

About the role

Autism Learning Partners offers a fulfilling career opportunity to support children and teens with autism. The role involves providing services in clients' homes and local centers, focusing on teaching new skills through play and encouraging progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach children new skills such as communication, sharing, or following directions using fun games or activities.
• Encourage progress and celebrate small victories daily.
• Maintain physical activity during sessions.
• Track and document work done and child's performance.
• Collaborate with families to support their children's development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• At least 6 months of experience working with kids (paid or volunteer).
• Reliable car, valid driver's license, and insurance.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Pass background and health checks.

Qualifications

• A big heart, patience, and the ability to engage with energetic kiddos.

Skills

• Positive attitude and ability to build rapport with children.
• Strong observational skills to assess and adapt to individual needs.
• Effective communication skills to explain tasks and concepts to children.

Pay

$20.00-$25.75/hr

Schedule

Part-time, up to 20 hours per week. Available Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm, with flexible scheduling based on client needs.
