Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job – Hermosa Beach, CA

About the role

We are seeking compassionate, patient individuals to join our team as a Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Hermosa Beach, CA. In this role you will provide one‑on‑one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to young adults and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in supportive in‑home, clinic, or in‑school settings. Full‑time and part‑time opportunities are available, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds — teachers, paraprofessionals, coaches, nannies, babysitters, caregivers, CNAs, camp counselors, retail and hospitality workers, or anyone who has supported someone with autism. We provide all required training; you bring the heart and dedication to help individuals turn everyday moments into meaningful milestones.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence‑based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies such as teaching new skills, encouraging independence, and reducing challenging behavior
• Collect and track progress data using our easy‑to‑use technology
• Collaborate with BCBAs and your team to celebrate progress and problem‑solve challenges
• Continue learning through ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

• No prior experience required – we provide training to become certified
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean motor vehicle record
• RBT certification welcome but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience with children, education, or caregiving preferred (not required)
• Bachelor’s degree or interest in behavioral health, education, psychology, or childcare preferred
• Ability to comfortably perform physical actions: move and/or lift up to 50 lbs, walk, run, sit, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, and play with kids

Pay

$23 – $27 per hour, based on experience and certification level.

Schedule

Full‑time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday‑Friday). Part‑time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Monday‑Friday) with a minimum of 10 hours per week; shifts may vary within the 8:00 AM‑6:00 PM window based on client needs.
