About the role

One Step Forward is hiring a Spanish-speaking Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism throughout Newark and surrounding Essex County communities. This is a part-time after-school position offering consistent weekday afternoon and evening hours. You'll work closely with experienced BCBAs while supporting Spanish-speaking families through individualized ABA services, helping children build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
  • Support communication, behavior, play, social, and daily living skill development
  • Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies during every session
  • Collect data and complete electronic session documentation
  • Communicate with caregivers in both Spanish and English
  • Collaborate regularly with your supervising BCBA regarding client progress

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (required)
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience as a Behavior Technician, ABA Therapist, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), paraprofessional, teacher's aide, childcare provider, or behavioral health professional
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn

Pay

$22–$32 per hour based on experience
