About the role
Provide 1:1 support for children with autism in our early intervention center in Canton, MI, helping them build communication, social, and life skills through play-based learning.Responsibilities
- Support children with autism in a positive, play-based learning environment
- Implement behavior plans and strategies as outlined by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each child
- Document observations and progress in a timely manner
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (due to travel to different locations within the community)
Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Pass a background check
