Behavior Technician

About the role

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll work one-on-one with children with autism, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and play to build communication, confidence, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles
• Monitor and document client progress in real-time
• Collaborate with a team of therapists and caregivers to ensure consistent care
• Adapt therapy sessions to meet the changing needs of each child
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case updates and strategies
• Provide support and encouragement to foster a positive learning environment

Requirements

• At least 18 years old on your first day of employment
• Ability to pass a background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Physical requirements vary based on specific client assignments

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is not required
• Willingness to undergo paid training in ABA therapy
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children
• Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families

Schedule

Hours vary based on client needs, but typically range from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
