About the role

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with children with autism, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and play to build communication, confidence, and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized ABA therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with a supportive team aligned with Trellis' values
  • Track progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Support children's learning, growth, and independence

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old on your first day of employment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • State-specific RBT requirements (see below)

Qualifications

  • Experience not required
  • Paid training in ABA therapy provided

Physical Requirements

  • Variety of physical requirements based on specific client assignments
  • Expected to be able to complete all physical requirements of the position either with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • May involve pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds and moving quickly in response to client needs
  • Maintain continuous visual supervision and auditory awareness of clients to support a safe environment

State-Specific RBT Requirements

  • Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina: RBT required before working with clients
  • Northern California, Maryland, New Mexico, Virginia: RBT required within 90 days of hire
  • Massachusetts, New Hampshire: RBT required for candidates without a bachelor’s degree
