As a Registered Behavior Technician, you'll play a vital role in helping children develop essential skills, build confidence, and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques to promote independence, social skills, and personal growth through fun and interactive activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Teach skills to enhance communication and functioning.
- Implement and facilitate behavior plans, monitor outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Restructure environments to support positive outcomes and reduce problematic behaviors.
- Collect data and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities and advocate for individual needs.
- Complete daily progress notes and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A passing National Criminal Background check.
- RBT Certification (preferred).
- Completion of RBT certification process within 30 days of employment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to physically engage with children in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 30lbs and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
- Must be willing to travel and work in-home settings.
- Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.) (Preferred).
- Mental health advocates and professionals (QMHP, behavioral health technicians) (Preferred).
- Camp counselors, volunteers, youth faith group leaders or youth coaching (Preferred).
- Degrees in special education, teaching, psychology, sociology, or related fields (Preferred).
- Experience as direct support, paraprofessionals, or life skills assistants (Preferred).

Pay
Pay ranges based on experience and education: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour.
