Responsibilities

  • Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to children with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center.
  • Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the child's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
  • Relay information on your clients’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
  • Accurately record the child’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work-assigned tablet at the end of each session.
  • Clock in, submit session notes, and clock out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace.
  • Assist children with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing.
  • Voice questions, issues, and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

Requirements

  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!).
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations).
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work with computers.
  • If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
