About the role
MeBe Family is a provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism and other special needs. Our mission is to empower families, professionals, and communities by educating and training them on evidence-based approaches. Our secret sauce? Responsibilities
- Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center
- Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills
- Relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments
- Accurately record the kiddo’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet
- Clock in, submit your session notes and clock out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations
- Help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized
- Help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing
- Voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate
- Help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries
- Positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture
Qualifications
- Consistent availability from Monday through Friday
- Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- RBT/CBT certification preferred
- Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)
- Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work with computers
- If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients
- Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred
