Position Details

The position is for a Behavior Technician in Dearborn, MI area (in-home or a mutually agreed location).

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Behavior Therapist for an 8-year-old boy who is full of curiosity and potential. He has diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and anxiety, and has experienced school-related trauma that has impacted his self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Use positive reinforcement and praise-based strategies
• Support emotional well-being and learning differences
• Create engaging, low-pressure learning opportunities in reading, math, and writing
• Help reignite confidence and a love of learning
• Be a positive role model and nurturing presence

• Passionate about helping children thrive
• Believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are

Qualifications

• Education Special Education Psychology Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Practicum Opportunity with guidance and mentorship from a BCBA and a certified elementary and special education teacher
