Behavior Technician
About the role
Join us as a Part-Time Behavior Technician in La Crosse County, including La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen. This role provides the opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families. You'll work directly with kids, teaching essential life skills, daily activities, social interactions, and communication strategies through our innovative Shine Community Services program.
As a Behavior Technician, you'll implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP) to address problem behaviors and foster skill acquisition tailored to each child's unique needs. This collaborative role offers in-home and community support to children with cognitive and behavioral challenges.
Schedule
Flexible hours, Monday through Friday, late afternoons to early evenings (3:30 PM - 7:00 PM), averaging 12 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with children to teach life skills, daily activities, social interactions, and communication strategies.
- Implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP) to address problem behaviors and foster skill acquisition.
- Provide in-home and community support to children and their families.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license, insured vehicle, and ability to travel independently to multiple sites within the assigned county.
