Behavioral Technician Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Clinical Manager/BCBA
- Use ABA techniques such as behavior management, discrete trial training (DTT), and social skills development
- Capture and record accurate data during each session
- Follow all clinical guidelines and support the client's progress towards goals
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Clinical Manager
Behavioral Technician Requirements
- Preferred: Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, or related field
- High school diploma required; RBT certification preferred (paid training available)
- Must obtain RBT certification before working independently with clients
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Able to work independently while maintaining professionalism
- Comfortable working with diverse populations across various settings
- Able to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
Additional Requirements
- Maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations (e.g., behaviors such as aggression or tantrums)
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow clinical guidance
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Follow directions and collaborate with supervisors and clinical staff
- Engage actively with children using energy, creativity, and a positive approach
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and move throughout sessions, including working on the floor for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation required
