About the role
The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking Behavior Support Technicians to join our dynamic team. This is a float team position with the opportunity to work various shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Encourage and mentor individuals by supporting them in maximizing their full potential.
- Support individuals in daily life activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, medication administration, and behavioral care.
- Work with Behavior Analysis professionals to implement and follow behavior support plans.
- Provide guidance and suggestions to empower independence through education and assistance with skills such as personal hygiene, cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and other activities of daily living.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation and redirection to ensure client safety when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass CPR, First Aid, and MANDT System Workshop courses.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations on Health and Safety, Abuse & Neglect, and Electronic Documentation.
- Ability to drive and obtain a class E drivers license if driving persons served in an Arc vehicle.
