About the role

The Behavior Support Specialist will work under the close supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (LBAs) to assess and treat challenging behavior, build skills, and collaborate with a large group of like-minded clinicians.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat challenging behavior, build skills, and collaborate with a large group of like-minded clinicians.
  • Create and coordinate the development and implementation of behavior analytic services within the Individual Service Plan and Behavior Intervention Plan.
  • Develop and monitor data collection systems, engage in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identify training needs and develop and conduct those trainings to ensure the ongoing knowledge and ability to effectively implement behavior plans.
  • Participate in clinical case review meetings (rounds) to ensure proper data review and discussion of the needs of persons' served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of six months experience in Human Services or related field required.
  • In programs where the incumbent is required to serve as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), one year of experience is required.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.

Qualifications

  • Full-time hourly position with a consistent schedule, paid benefits, paid time off, no billable hour requirements.
  • Free BACBⓇ supervised experience for graduate students in ABA.
  • Minimal travel (any required travel is during paid working hours and mileage is reimbursed).
  • Paid supervision and training.
  • Flexible schedules based on the needs of the program.

  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and techniques.
