Bancroft is a leading nonprofit service-provider for individuals across the lifespan with autism and related diagnoses. We provide a full continuum of highly effective services rooted in evidence-based practices and scientifically proven techniques, including special education, vocational training, supported employment, residential supports, and short-term behavioral stabilization services.

About the role

The Behavior Support Specialist will join our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Center of Excellence, a team of approximately 50 Board Certified Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBAs/LBA-Ds) and Board Certified Licensed Assistant Behavior Analysts (LaBAs), along with approximately 45 clinicians who are graduate students accruing fieldwork. This role supports our Adult Residential program in Passaic County, working under the close supervision of LBAs to assess and treat challenging behavior, build skills, and collaborate with a large group of like-minded clinicians.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and coordinates the development and implementation of behavior analytic services within the Individual Service Plan and Behavior Intervention Plan, with LBA oversight.
  • Coordinates the development, implementation, and training of behavior plans, including functional behavior assessment/analysis, preference assessments, and treatment evaluations.
  • Develops and monitors data collection systems, engages in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identifies training needs and develops and conducts trainings to ensure ongoing knowledge and ability to effectively implement behavior plans.
  • Participates in clinical case review meetings (rounds) to ensure proper data review and discussion of the needs of persons served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of six months experience in Human Services or related field required.
  • In programs where the incumbent is required to serve as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), one year of experience is required.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $21.34–$21.77 per hour.
