Essential Functions

  • Monitor in-house suspension students as the accountability room supervisor.
  • Assist with positive behavior support utilizing the PBIS system.
  • Assist with student behaviors in the café during lunch times.
  • Attend and assist with behavior intervention plans.
  • Communicate student behaviors to parents via phone, email, etc.
  • Aid teachers with behavior intervention.
  • May be required to substitute teach in the classroom.
  • Monitor and input information on the campus activities calendar as needed.
  • Train and supervise peer mediators and mediations.

  • Ability to deal with different age levels.
  • Positive communication skills; able to relate to students, parents, and staff.
  • Behavior modification skills.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Very active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving items over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
