Fred Finch Youth & Family Services is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health issues. The team is currently seeking a Behavior Specialist I, regardless of experience level, to support the mission.

What You Will Do
- Support behavior strategies and provide 1:1 behavioral intervention and rehab services to participants/participant families
- Document services and collaborate with community and mental health professionals
- Participate in group and individual supervision
- Provide crisis management, clinical case management, and administrative functions
- Be on call as needed
- Support and implement wraparound philosophy, trauma-informed care model, and individualized, strengths-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health related field
- Basic computer and keyboarding competence with Microsoft Office Suite or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems
- Demonstrated ability to assess, triage, and organize work
- Participant, case management, or record keeping experience
- Demonstrated communication skills in describing behaviors and interventions in writing
- Demonstrated understanding of developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults
- Demonstrated knowledge in individual/family/group behavioral health rehabilitation methods for target population of program
- Theoretical understanding or experience in behavioral approaches to treatment
- Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Valid California Driver's license with a good driving record or ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire
- Possess personal car insurance meeting minimum liability coverage required for position if driving for work or transporting participants
Preferred
- B.A. Degree in a relevant field
- Four (4) years' experience in mental health related field
- Prior youth mentoring/advocacy experience
- Fluency in prevailing language(s) of community where Clinician will work preferred
