Fred Finch Youth & Family Services is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health issues. The team is currently seeking a Behavior Specialist I, regardless of experience level, to support the mission.

What You Will Do

• Support behavior strategies and provide 1:1 behavioral intervention and rehab services to participants/participant families
• Document services and collaborate with community and mental health professionals
• Participate in group and individual supervision
• Provide crisis management, clinical case management, and administrative functions
• Be on call as needed
• Support and implement wraparound philosophy, trauma-informed care model, and individualized, strengths-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health related field
• Basic computer and keyboarding competence with Microsoft Office Suite or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems
• Demonstrated ability to assess, triage, and organize work
• Participant, case management, or record keeping experience
• Demonstrated communication skills in describing behaviors and interventions in writing
• Demonstrated understanding of developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults
• Demonstrated knowledge in individual/family/group behavioral health rehabilitation methods for target population of program
• Theoretical understanding or experience in behavioral approaches to treatment
• Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Valid California Driver's license with a good driving record or ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire
• Possess personal car insurance meeting minimum liability coverage required for position if driving for work or transporting participants

Preferred

• B.A. Degree in a relevant field
• Four (4) years' experience in mental health related field
• Prior youth mentoring/advocacy experience
• Fluency in prevailing language(s) of community where Clinician will work preferred
