About the role
The Behavior Specialist will provide support to students with behavioral challenges in the classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans
- Provide direct support to students and staff on behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assess student needs and progress towards goals
- Conduct observations and data collection to inform interventions
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in behavior intervention
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Qualifications
- Current certification in Instructional/ Certified
- Experience with data-driven decision making
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
10-month (198 days), 7.5 hours per day, 7:05 AM - 2:35 PM.
