Behavior Specialist
About the role
The Behavior Specialist at Devereux works with other professionals to help individuals with challenges. This role involves assessing and treating challenging behaviors, consulting on Individual Service Plans (ISPs), supervising direct support professionals, collecting and inputting data, and conducting observations.
Responsibilities
- Assist Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors.
- Consult on ISP Plan Goals/Objectives, as well as environmental supports.
- Train, oversee, and monitor direct support professionals with respect to behavioral support and therapeutic interactions.
- Data collection and inputting data into an Excel database.
- Input notes regarding behavioral services.
- Provide specific number of hours of services per consumer in required settings per week.
- Conduct observations and integrity assessments of BCBA's current BSP per individual.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification.
- At least 2 years of experience providing behavior support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectual/Developmental Disability clients.
- Age 18 or older.
- Valid non-provisional driver's license.
- Solid interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Experience and skills in presentations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification.

Pay
$50,000 - $57,000 annually.
