Behavior Interventionist - North Hollywood

Responsibilities

• Carry out one-on-one direct ABA therapy sessions in school or home environments.
• Aid clients in their daily academic and living tasks.
• Instruct adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.
• Promote desired behaviors through positive reinforcement.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress.
• Create a safe, supportive environment conducive to growth and learning.
• Advocate for individuals with disabilities across various settings.

Requirements

• Valid US work authorization.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Have a negative TB test result.
• Have reliable computer and internet access daily.
• Have reliable transportation, valid California driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and willingness to drive in the San Fernando Valley area.
• Show interest and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents, including the ability to be playful and engaging.
• Show patience and empathy when dealing with challenging behaviors.
• Be committed to IABA’s positive-only approach, mission, and ethical standards.
• Show reliability and dedication to working with clients daily.
• Be able to lift up to 45 pounds, walk, run, bend, squat, sit, stand for long periods, and engage in fast-paced physical activities with children and teens.
• Show willingness to work with clients of all ages, behaviors, and support needs.
