Responsibilities
- Carry out one-on-one direct ABA therapy sessions in school or home environments.
- Aid clients in their daily academic and living tasks.
- Instruct adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.
- Promote desired behaviors through positive reinforcement.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress.
- Create a safe, supportive environment conducive to growth and learning.
- Advocate for individuals with disabilities across various settings.
Requirements
- Valid US work authorization.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Have a negative TB test result.
- Have reliable computer and internet access daily.
- Have reliable transportation, valid California driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and willingness to drive in the San Fernando Valley area.
- Show interest and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents, including the ability to be playful and engaging.
- Show patience and empathy when dealing with challenging behaviors.
- Be committed to IABA’s positive-only approach, mission, and ethical standards.
- Show reliability and dedication to working with clients daily.
- Be able to lift up to 45 pounds, walk, run, bend, squat, sit, stand for long periods, and engage in fast-paced physical activities with children and teens.
- Show willingness to work with clients of all ages, behaviors, and support needs.
