Behavior Interventionist

About the role

Easterseals Southern California seeks Behavior Interventionists to provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to families and children on the autism spectrum. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, have previous experience with children or those with special needs, and are interested in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum
• Work with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Assess and document progress towards treatment goals
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Lift, carry, and load/unload toys and materials for home visits
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting during home visits

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance
• Proof of immunization records and TB test
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• Available for initial 2-week training schedule (Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children or those with special needs
• Interest in behavioral health
• Ability to lift, carry, and load/unload materials for home visits
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays

Pay

$24-$27.50 hourly

Schedule

Main working hours are Monday through Friday, 3PM-8PM and Saturday 9AM-1PM. Candidates must be available to work at least 15 hours per week within these time frames.
