Behavior Interventionist

About the role

Easterseals Southern California seeks Behavior Interventionists to provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to families and children on the autism spectrum. Ideal candidates have a passion for working with children, previous experience with children or people with special needs, and an interest in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum
• Work with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Observe, assess, and interact with participants during therapy sessions
• Lift, carry, and load/unload toys and materials for home visits
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to interact with participants
• Participate in initial 2-week training schedule (Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours)

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance
• Proof of immunization records and TB test
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Available to work in the afternoons/early evenings, and possibly weekends
• Available to work at least 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 3PM-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-1PM

Qualifications

• Passing a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Experience working with children or people with special needs
• Interest in behavioral health
• Own reliable transportation

Pay

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 3PM-8PM and Saturday 9AM-1PM. Minimum of 15 hours per week.
