Behavior Interventionist

About the role

Easterseals Southern California seeks Behavior Interventionists to provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to families and children on the autism spectrum. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, have previous experience with children or those with special needs, and are interested in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum.
• Work with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Observe, assess, and interact with participants during therapy sessions.
• Lift, carry, and load/unload toys and materials for home visits.
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to observe and interact with participants.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance.
• Proof of immunization records and TB test.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Available for initial 2-week training schedule (Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours).

Qualifications

• Passionate about working with children.
• Previous experience working with children or people with special needs.
• Interest in behavioral health.
• Available to work in the afternoons/early evenings, and possibly weekends.
• Own reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, carry, and load/unload materials for home visits.
• Willingness to attend initial 2-week training schedule.

Pay

$24 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 3PM-8PM and Saturday 9AM-1PM. Minimum of 15 hours per week.
